Just chuck all your stuff in the awning and enjoy a decent night's sleep ....stuff a 3/4 bed ....I am a human being not a sardine

  4. I would agree but cant usually be arsed with awnings any more.

  5. Interesting layout with the danburys. I lke the idea of the removeable units etc. It could be slightly better thought out but the cooker, grill is ace. Its got all you would normally need in a compact space.

Not really an awning we have ...it's a Coleman Dome 5 ...3 mins and it is up , equally quick to pack away .
So far it has survived Cornish coast wind, fingers crossed .
Mind you if you read about some of the winds you can get ripping the turf of the ground on the Outer Hebrides islands, don't think anything will stand up .

  7. Just completed mine.

Don't do wild camping so we cook in the awning using a double hob gas cooker and use a 12v/240v cool box too.

Replaced the bed with a full width Rusty Lee and put a 2" memory foam topper on the foam. Very comfy! DSCF0002.JPG DSCF0001.JPG

We have a 3/4 bed and it can be a squeeze but its worth it for the extra storage.

Everything has a home and nothing is cluttering up the floor, that way if we fancy stopping somewhere on route we can and then it only takes 5min to set set up when we arrive also if we want to pop out it takes 5min and we are off.

The layout has a cooker, sink, fridge and cupboards down one side, a swivel passenger seat and a under slung water tank.

We sometimes take a small awning if the weathers going to be bad but most of the time we are sat in the van with the sliding door open

  9. I did consider a narrow unit so my bed was inbetween sizes. Ie a 7/8 lol. Wish i had i think. Just a bit short of space. Nut that said im looking at doing a top locker down one side. I do have stuff up their now in a soft bag (boot tidy) .

  10. If you sleep with your feet pointing to the engine could you add a cupboard down the bottom without losing too much bed space

  11. It is a conversion by Karman Konnection when imported as a station wagon from California.

  12. Looking on eBay there seems to be a lack of units for full size beds

  13. Our converted Devon's storage space was severely compromised when we fitted the B3.
We used to chuck everything into an awning but it blew down once too often, so now I use a fifteen quid pop up tent, which I just fling everything into as soon as we pitch up. Empty bus, packed tent. No need even to peg it down as the weight of the generator and the Leslie is enough to stop it blowing away.

  14. I think vanwurks do a sink/cooker unit similar to the Danbury one that allows for a full width bed. No idea how to post a link.

Yes :D. Plus missing the T5 interior (well the T5 full stop) , mixed with a hefty slice of Westy Berlin envy

  20. I love my Westy Berlin interior....
If we are camping in cold weather, I can get up, leaving the good wife in bed, put the kettle on for a brew, relax in the rear facing passenger seat , maybe listen to the 'wireless'.....Without even opening the door and letting out all the warmth from the carver heater !
Having also owned a T25 Joker Westy (very similar layout) I prefer the Bay as it seems to have a little more 'old school' charm.
