Of course. If the builder can show the engine was built up or set up incorrectly, it's not a warrenty issue. If a part has given way, how the builder would approach it I don't know.
The engine should be rebuilt free of charge, the followers are obviously rubbish. I do not use aftermarket ones remachined genuine ones never fail.
