@wizrod if you try a proper plumbers merchants they should have the fittings. Also www.bes.co.uk. Plastic push fit defo not ok :)

Rubber perishes over time which is ok if accessible and easy to check, not so good if it's to be hidden behind units.

  3. TY...but now sourced all the necessary bits...

  4. Yup...got the bits...but another job has absorbed all my time, so not yet installed.

Also was putting off actually doing the work until I had some gas to test fire it. I managed to get an used empty bottle to use as an exchange (object to shelling out £50 for new one to exchange!!! So £3 off ebay!!!). Just need to actually exchange it for a full one now!!

Would it be possible to get some dimensions of the fridge aswell
I take it you have a full width bed

  9. yes, full with bed. no bulkheads though

  10. I still have my bulkheads so you may have a touch more room then I have.
I've a full width rusty lee bed
The space between the bulkhead and end of the bed
    I want to fit in
    My cooker
    A sink
    A fridge
    A 20l water container
    A 4.5kg gas bottle

  11. Mines a westy bed and assume its a similar distance as they will be similar in length. I have cooker, sink, fridge, cupboard with 10 litre water but can fit two 10 litres and a 907 bottle in there. My fridge unit is a skinny one and the main unit is as shallow as it can be. on the pics you can see the mid fixings into the side of the bus ie the horizontal U section that runs between the pillars. will do some measuring but although I have no bulkhead I do have a low level panel that takes up at least 35 mm from the actual steel at the rea of the seat stnd (bottom of bulkhead). will see if I can get pic of where it comes to but I think it clears where the bulkhead was.

  14. @Dicky does having your driver seat on a swivel loose you much more headroom?
Do you have to lean forward for driving?
Suppose it depends on your heightiness though

  15. I am heighty but strangely doesn't bother me much as I tend to have the seat reclined. That said my swivels aren't vw ones and its actually higher again! Im going to redo the seat frames at some point. reckon I can lose an inch. the view out of the screen is the most annoying part. good view of the sun visor!

  16. Hello.

I'm a gas fitter. Although I don't hold the mobile lpg ticket but I can look up the regs for you.

On natural gas all hobs must be rigid connection. Flexi hoses are only permitted when an appliance is designed to be removed by a homeowner for cleaning. The connection is copper to a hob because it might touch the hot back of the oven. Also it's hidden and unlikely to inspected by the homeowner for years. As far as I am away on houses flexible connectors are only used externally and the supply pipe must transition to copper before it enters the house.

I'm guessing that a flexi at the hob on a camper wouldn't be allowed as it is hidden in a cupboard. Also lpg sinks. If you had a leak it would collect in the unit below and next time you light the job you would quickly add a person shaped sun roof. Lpg bottle enclosures have floor level vents for safety.

    Hope this helps.
