  6. Has anyone fitted these to a van conversion, which doesn't have the seatbelt mounting holes?

Finally got around to getting a rivnut tool and fitted mine. Installed as per Skutterbob's photo in post 307 it clears a full width Westy R&R bed just fine. Didn't need an angle-adjustable retractor reel either, but it did need a long-ish belt as used for front seats, without the long stalk buckle though.
I may get one for the other side now. Can you let me know how much for an offside @davidoft ? Forgotten how much it cost!

  13. Hi all,

I'm looking to fit this bracket to my converted panel van. If this is correct above^^^^ i'm struggling to find a rivnut thats 7/16UNF, they all seem to be M6, M8 etc. Anyone any idea where to buy the correct rivnut for securing the bracket to the van?

    Cheers.

  14. 7/16th UNF is/was standard seat belt bolt thread for lots of vehicles....in practice, it doesn't matter what thread type you use provided the fitting and the bolt are both rated accordingly...seat belt anchor bolts/mounts should be atleast 8.8 tensile rating...any decent engineer's merchants should be able to provide you with something suitable...take your parts in:thumbsup:

"...seat belt assemblies designed for installation in motor vehicles equipped with seat belt assembly anchorages that do not require anchorage nuts, plates, or washers, need not have such hardware, but shall have 7/16-20 UNF-2A or 1/2-13UNC-2A attachment bolts or equivalent metric hardware. The hardware shall be designed to prevent attachment bolts and other parts from becoming disengaged from the vehicle while in service...."
