It's state of mind that motivates the thought of taking first step. Then commitment to take the step! I still hate being beholden to somebody elses structure. True freedom is not financial but emotional. Even now, working part time for 3 days in a structured environment and then having the rest of the week to plan myself it becomes a chore. It shouldn't be. The 3 days are flexibly guaranteed to fit with our travel schedule & the rest of the time its a great crack. I'm boarding a loft tomorrow, shifting commercial furniture Saturday, gardening next Tuesday & house clearing next Friday! The motivation is the end goal, then everything becomes a little easier. Morocco & beyond is this years target but Mrs BM has also broken the year into bit sized chunks. For example we've booked the calendar for Dubfreeze (nothing special but seeing it gives a focus), both Tech Enders plus a trip to Spain to see relatives. We aren't wealthy. It takes me four hours to earn enough money to pay for one hours labour at an average car garage. But we're happy to make sacrifices that lots of people consider necessities just so we can wake up on a beach

What's this nothing to do ... I'm as busy as I ever have been, if not busier. Being self employed that's very handy otherwise I wouldn't be paid.
I'm a contractor in the City, so don't get paid if I don't work. client has signed a new 6 month contract, but currently has me writing scope and approach documents. it is very boring and I actually feel more tired than when I'm busy. I'd much rather be busy.
Im not bored..yet! I have a box of Composite test samples, I have to try and test them very fast and get the temperature to rise on them by applying a tensile or compressive load. As an aside to that, I have aircraft landing gear to test I haven't got time to be bored
The only ones enjoying this month are customs and excise As a contractor it sub contractors tax, company tax and vat So instead of counselling I go skiing
The good news is, if you're reading this, you haven't added to the sad statistic that suicide rates are higher on the second monday back of the New Year...(Blue monday) Happy Days!

Fed up working, self medicate with "new " and "Improved" retail therapy (We make you want it and You deserve it), no money? No problem, credit available from credit cards to pay-day lenders. Bills a problem, what about working a bit harder/ second job? Oh and don't forget to smile.
In a few weeks ill be directing a crew and climbing trees with chainsaws in the hot florda sun. Im Getting older but of all the jobs ive done . This is my favorite . Everyday is different and i get paid to get fit !
I'm not bored of working, but I am bored of doing stuff that I don't want to do. When I started the business 14 years ago, it was all selling stuff, which I enjoy. As the business has got bigger, my admin / finance / personnel commitments have gradually squeezed the sales side, so I'm doing more boring stuff that I hate and less interesting stuff that I like. It's still way better than having a proper job though. I'm forward planning so the business can run itself now, then I can make myself redundant and head for the hills.
