no mate 3/4 we decided (lu did) we wanted units along the side.

to be honest i wanted full width 'cos i was happy to store all the stuff in boxes and have a nice bed but in fairness it would have been a pain, we're that used to how the westy was laid out and it worked i didn't take much convincing to stick with what worked but just tinker a bit, plus if i'm honest i long for the day when we can leave the awning and just use the van..... but that might have to wait until at least the labrador carks it as she's a bit too big.

 

yeh know what you mean , i think even a coach built wouldnt be big enuff for us sometimes , but if the suns shining weve found we can put so much more outside under or next ta , i spose if i still had my dogs id go for pup tent but then it would be a worry cos springers are good escapeologists n sulk if they cant have a bed too .

 

Don't take so much stuff with you when you go camping. Our Lab fits in our bus lovely and we don't have an awning.

42 inches wide which is about the same i think, 6ft long

 

we have 2 springers and they sleep under the overhang of the bed on the floor

 

i didnt have mine when i had my bus but they were 3 n you know what 3 means sometimes , one used to steal the covers then it got personal

 

went to see my paint spraying mate today to ask his opinion on the bumpers, he said the problem with these commercial ones is they are dimply so to spray them they need plenty of high build primer on and flatting back, then because the front is so slam fronted he reckons a stone chip and a bit of frost or jet wash and the paint is soon off, said he'd happily do it but couldn't warranty the length of time the paint would stay on... i appreciate his honesty so i've had to put thoughts of this on the back burner - to be fair i didn't really want to fire money at bumpers just yet but i think the grey is the last part that makes it look builders vanny really... there's a place in hinkley who do an exchange service of your bumpers for freshly painted but of course these will probably be overpainted grey ones..... the only real way of doing it well is to get a set of caravelle non commercial bumpers i guess.... i doubt you could wrap bumpers really?

 

Might as well whoop em off and spray them yourself then.

 

Had mine remapped again yesterday, The first one was just a little one to see how it went, this one done by the same bloke for nothing as part of the first deal if you wanted more has given it a bit more kick

 

or leave it as is and spend the cash on camping.

 

i'm not bothered, mine does 100 easy and is plenty fast enough, the only downside is 1st gear is too short but the caddy i had was the same, i guess it's to pull away wiith lots of bricks on.... boring for wheelspinning though you run out of revs too quick.
