WANTED Rear hatch seal wanted.....

Had soggy bedding when camping last weekend..looks like my hatch seal has some 'issues'.....before I go biting down on the stick to buy a new one has anyone got one hanging around that they may wish to sell...?

 

If you look for Schofield's on eBay you'll get the good one for £49 delivered, best price around.

 

For info im after one too. Just in case more than 1 turns up. Annoying as the one i have is fine. Its just one of them bloomin brazilian ones that dont quite fit

I have a good genuine german one. Its used, its got a few little bits of glue on it. A few minor cracks GENUINELY NOTHING TO BE CONCERNED WITH. This will fit with no concerns.

The next photos are of the top edge. The cracks shown run along the outside. The photo shown with the grips holding the seal apart show that the internal edge is good(the cracks are cracks and not splits going all the way through....does that make sense?)

 

Goody.....having tried to fit the seal from Schofields (its utter crap...not even the same profile) I'm needing something better....

I got one about a month ago and it was perfect

 

Very soft rubber, weird corners that don't stay in place, profile slopes the opposite way to the original so it doesn't sit right in the body or glue in place properly. Not impressed.
Another case of aftermarket parts....

 

Thought i was sorted there for a moment. Wonder why the schofield one was so bad.

 

Sounds like a genuine one to me, they have to be very soft because of the way the door shuts. Did it say Vewib on the package?

 

Will have to have a look Zed, I think the wrapper is still in the van somewhere....Will be interesting to compare it with the one Mr Gumdrops is sending to me.....
I'm away in Germany this weekend, but will try and take a couple of pics when i get back.

 

If you come to the conclusion your using the new one and not the one off gummy then let me know , well, that is if your willing to pass it on.
