Can't wait to see underneath, it could be a bargain! For all we know, last year it had a full set of outriggers and sills and a new front beam. :)

  4. Photos normally flatter a vehicle, so if the filler looks that bad on a picture it will be worse when you see it in the flesh.

I'm looking into my crystal ball....the mist is clearing...
The last owner in rose tinted glasses phase added the visor (before the resto work).
The next buyer will see the front has been done, continue backwards and take it to get the front arches done. :)

But the arches will turn into arches, tubs, b-posts inner and outer, bulkead and cab floor part panels...and those A posts the front panel guy hid rather than repair (just guessing!)
Unexpectedly high bill again and back for sale this time next year with it's new Empi 5 spoke wheels, (bought before the resto work)...

Once you're in that deep there's no going back.
I didn't look properly at my first bus and lost £6K in the process.
I've won on every one since by excluding labour.
But sometimes you have more time than money so the time might have earned you precisely nothing.
On the third hand if I'd just bought and sold each one when I did and parked them in a garage meanwhile, doing nothing at all to them I'd have been better of financially.
But money is always depreciating anyway so back where you started. :D
    Funny old game.

  14. My mate has been looking for a while on different websites Paradox unbeknown to me I took him for a spin ( well not quite a spin) more of a leisurely plod in mine as its a 1600 and he fell in love with it . So if this one isn't the one, we find one eventually with the help of this forum as well

Sometimes the light just catches it wrong though, one of my panels looks a bit like that if you catch the light right (wrong), I was in a hurry and stupidly flatted back the primer with a DA rather than a small block, that's really all it takes.

  19. Take a magnet this afternoon and go round the sills and all the corners. Looks like a lot of filler in there.

  20. Back from looking at the bus today, very pic heavy apologies.
Owners very genuine, had the bus for 4 years and its been stood for 2 years as the lady had a couple of ops on her foot,
MOT'd until April next year and has only done an extra 1000 miles since they purchased it according to MOT slip.
    Hand painted.
engine a gear box runs really well, no noticeable oil leaks,
Filler all over it and patches over the top of rust holes.
Belly pans fitted so hard to see much, however, full of filler where the sills meet..
Gutters shot all around. back quarters both side filled and cracking.
When my mate seen it in the flesh it took him back a bit, as any metal work needed will have to be outsourced and it needs lots!
Told him to make himself a member on here and go on the for sale thread and also post on the wanted as well :)
I have more pics but can only post max of 10 :)
Interesting day really and worth the 4 hour round trip out, even if was just to let him rethink his plans as to what he wants as a project and how big a project he wants to take on.
