Here we go then, most of you know i've sold the bay but wanted to stay where my mates are so i'm posting this here, if you don't like T5's that's fine, no need to carry on looking, yes i'm aware it's a bay forum, yes i'm aware it's got no soul and it's a builders van blah blah blah.... but it keeps me camping 'cos i couldn't justify the bay sitting there as much as it did and also run a car, 2 lots of tax/insure/mot/maintainance etc.
So it's an April 2012 T5.1 facelift 102bhp 1968 cc diesel 2.8 tonne, it's ex lease (i wanted this as the service history and condition is better)
It's got electric windows, central locking, electric mirrors, aircon, cd.
    It's done 57k miles 1 owner.
I pick it up next Saturday 19/9/15 as i'm having a few things done that i negotiated into the purchase price.
I'm having a full service, mot, cambelt, 2 tyres, towbar plus any other stuff the service/pdi picks up.
As with anything i had to make sacrifices to get the spec i wanted, the main one being it's got 2 rear doors not a tailgate and it's white with plain bumpers.
Immediate plans are to get the bulkhead out and a roof put in, get the insulation done and a bed in, windows and interior will have to wait as they don't stop me camping.
Mrs roo has named it Masie 'cos of the numberplate.
Here are some pic's from today.

This is the video of it the dealers put up which encouraged me to drive a 250 mile round trip to look.

    Well done Ricky

Hope you get some windows fitted soon (so in 40 years we can say 'yeah but it's a panel van ) as quite a few places won't let you camp in a van without windows.

  4. Needs a week-old copy of the 'SUN' yellowing on the dash .... :D

    Looks great though

yeah i'm aware of a few places that don't allow "work vans" but usually it's signwriting they don't like, i toyed with getting a camper that was "done" but decided starting from scratch would be best as it allowed me to choose the bed and interior etc, plus getting a low miles camper had a high price premium, realistically i've got 6 months before 2016 kicks off and i should be able to fund at least the roof and bed by then, possibly 2 windows in the front as well.

  15. A blank canvas is a good choice. I would still like to see your conversion documented on here.

  16. Nice van by the way.

Hard to see what it'll look like, but a blank canvas is always a better option.

  18. I like it, but those seats give me something akin to deep vein thrombosis, I had to put a cushion down to solve the problem.Could be my little legs.
