Me bumper has been trapped on the other side of the world!!!!!
    A word of warning
    READ THE SMALL PRINT!!!!!!!
I bought a ribbed 57 bumper from Melbourne and me mates son picked it up for me,I had checked the postage cost on the OZ post quick calculator and it was reasonable, when it came down to it and the finer details were added it turns out that the longest parcel you can send without it costing the square route of Greece's national debt is 160 cm, the bumper is 168!!!
    Drastic measures have been taken
    [IMG]

So now it is 84cm long, no prizes for guessing how this was achieved.
I have been told by a 50's split boffin that the bumpers were made like this from the factory though so I dont feel too much like a butcher.

    Thanks for the support!!

  5. That's pretty much my ethos... I've cut the corners out of a split crew cab in sections before so I could do some repairs... So guys I know freaked as they were totally obsolete at the time

  7. this sounds like an old puzzle - the answer would be to put it in a square parcel with the bumper going in diagonally - the parcel length will then be less than 160cm.

  9. A square box with a diagonal of 168cm will have dimensions of 118.8cm x 118.8cm

Decided to reskin the cago door as there was a nasty crease in it and also to replace the lower inner as that was also damaged.[IMG]

Oh no the skins arrived, there was damage to the packaging and the two skins were buckled, bugger, trying to save work and it causes more, Im not blaming the company who sent them but the carrier!!! Needed to fit em today so decided to bite the bullet and repair them GrRRRR

While Im moaning about panels the funnels in the bottom inner skin was set too far out, we did find an easy fix by cutting the bottom tag and levering it out then welding it.[IMG]url=http://s459.photobucket.com/user/PYE-O-C/media/IMG_1811_zpsozwl7tmo.jpg.html]
