http://www.camping-indigo.com/en worth checking out before you venture over the channel. sites all over france.we stayed at this one ,in a forest next to a lake ,i reckon it was the best site we have ever stayed on http://www.camping-indigo.com/en/les-molieres-indigo-campsite-france.html The lake is about 2.5 k in diameter with a track at the waters edge, the far side of the lake has a beach with cafe's bike hire ,tourist info etc
We stayed there last summer and it was great only negative I can think of was that the pizzas we're awful!
Looks good... interested in this one too http://www.camping-indigo.com/en/noirmoutier-indigo-campsite-france.html anyone?
Sorry this is late response but we stayed there last year in a permanent tent (the van was being held to ransome in Nantes, but that's another story). It's right by the sea (though you can't see the sea from the pitches) with good facilities, lovely bar. Nice easy cycle to the town along the estuary (think Norfolk but French). Main problem is it's cramped - the pitches are small, and lots of kids running around which is either a good thing or a bad thing, depending. It's dusty too and the weather seems cooler than the rest of the France! Happy to go there once, but wouldn't rush back.
Yes been there too and agree with you, also the toilets cos so many people, were really smelly. town was nice though
