The van is extremely solid and both arches are like new. I want to change the seats back to the ones in the brochure if I can. After talking to the builder of her on Sunday and finding out she is only one of two left, I feel compelled to do her justice even if he did say she is nearly as he built her and better than his.
Here is a picture of Custard's sister sat outside the builders barn from Carl the builders son posted on vzi last night. It was taken last summer and she was last taxed in 1999. @bernjb56 @rickyrooo1
i wouldn't care if it was br0wn lol... mrs roo will love it if we could get one - pipe dream i'm sure but if he does want to and tells you....................
Hi guys It's carl the builders son. It's great to see all the banter on here. What a great find for you though malc to find my dad at Stafford who built your van. His is still in the shed covered just 44k miles, last went on the road in 1999. We started her last year started first time.
Hi Carl. Welcome to TLB mate. I think you may have already met a lot of the guys taking the mick here that day in my van at Stafford. Can I ask if that is a type 2bay in the LT35 build pictures, and if so who's it was?
The first conversion dad did before yours was on an LT35 chassis that was the one that got burnt down . The measurements were the same for building on the LT50, only main difference I understand is LT50 is slightly higher but more importantly you get the turbo. He then built your camper which he sold as you know and then lastly, he built the one we still have
Sorry Malcolm if you mean one of the pics in the yard when yours was been built, that bay was dads work van, he always had v dubs
