VolksWorld 2015 - 28 & 29 March Volunteers wanted for line-up

Hi All,

I'm no clearer than usual on if we have a 5 bus stand or a 10 bus stand but thought I'd start putting out feelers for volunteers.

I expect we will have a 10 bus spot as we did last year (despite having been told to only bring 5 vehicles) but am still chasing the organizers.

To display you must be willing to be involved for both days as the complimentary tickets that are given to display vehicles are weekend passes only.

You don't have to be fancy to display - you just have to be willing to get up early and talk to show punters about your van

 

hey buddy, do they have to be show winning? mines very nice, but not show quality by any means. might be up for this, so are the tickets free for displayers? are they per vehicle of per person? would probably drag the missus and littleun along too? would they have to pay?

 

Would love to get more in to vw shows and only live an hour from the show.

managed to get into the trailer queen show last year much to my amusement and I have to say it's a great weekend! I dont think my fellow show and shine were too impressed with us respraying the pick up with tyre shine in the mock up show room

 

i'd potentially be up for this. Most likely just be for the one day though..

 

id be up for it but for one day only. i could share a weekend pass with someone if that helps as flexible on the day atm!

 

No - you don't have to be show quality at all!
They are issuing two wristbands per vehicle but they are weekend only wristbands and are not transferable. So - any children would have to pay for their ticket (if they are over the age at which the tickets are free).

They don't like having different vehicles each day as they have to keep a record of all the number plates so would prefer those who can display both days.

You have to be in the queue at 8ish in the morning to be in before the show opens at 9.

I'm up for it again. This time I will know where TLB contingent gather on Friday afternoon. Also to watch out for Birdy's drinks.... And to bring some beer and not drink all of it.

Might have finished the K-Jetronic mechanical FI install by then. And might have taken it out again in disgust.

 

Yes please, will be nice to be out in the fresh air instead downstairs in the dungeon !

This year I will make it third time lucky, not tempting fate or anything but Milly is running spot on, no LPG and hopefully this year my wife won't cut her foot open.

Hey - just had confirmation - we've got a 10 bus stand on the parade ring side (where we were last year).

So - you need to buy the camping pass.

You can call 0208 726 8341 to pay £24 rather than £27 for the weekend.

Each vehicle displaying gets two free adult wristbands.

I will need name, mobile number and reg numbers for all vehicles displaying.

It is nice that they have finally sorted it out this year and told us the right number of vehicles (last year we were told 5 and rocked up at the gate to be asked where the 10 were)

As I said - it needs to be the same vehicles both days.
