Bertie is under cover and Rosie is in the Garage but you'll be able to tell when you see them. oooh i feel a meet up coming on
would love to see these! where are you based? Would love to set up a monthly meet around Sheffield somewhere!
Think I've spotted split to bay conversion here. Was on a news website about Brazil. Guess someone did the opposite.
There was someone on here that found on the net some one making a bay in to a barn door split, it's blue in colour wish I could find it again? anyone know it? think he was Swiss something like that
I'd never seen one before. I'd seen some badly done ones (i presume that's the company that everyone talks about on forums). I think i expect when i sell them to find the biggest problem is that people will be only interested in seeing them because they're conversions. Kind of like a bearded lady (sorry mum)
Looks like a quality conversion that. You can hardly tell it was a bay. I guess the one disadvantage compared to the original spilt is the fact that you will still need to mot it. Most split campers are past that age. Maybe the trade off for not having to pay the price tag of an original and also I suppose yours is more roomier. One fine bearded lady there though!
The photos obviously make it look better. There's a few clear signs they're not "right" but I think New window seals will help If we can get a good group up for a little meet it could be quite nice
"No MOT" is only pre 1960 so most splits still need one. The main difference (apart from them not being splits or bays) is that splits are tax free.
Sorted that for you http://www.kustomcoachwerks.com/for...6&t=7716&sid=0ac10e682d58023ccf633e4ababe259b
