Some very nice motors at a free meet. Very much in the Hayburner / Rothfink / Skeg Vegas theme which is very good. So in no particular order....
blimey that's a blast from the past - the westy on the end looks like Corkys old westy, Porschefalia; Ive not seen that in years
next one in my lot will be a Fleetline or a Splittie, dunno when yet but one of our buses will have to go to help fund it. If & that is a big if I do go for another project, itll not be before 2018 as Ive got to complete my degree by end of 2017. Unless summat crops up Aside of that Major needs some tlc in the meantime!
Last few I've finally got round to upload / download. Overall a very good selection of motors, free entry, free goody bag and a good day out. @nedfaux and @VIVASKEGVEGAS Can you pass on to the organizers a big well done. Top day.
@Jono1249 yes that's Corkys old westy, dunno if he still owns it or has sold it on, he's not been on in years!
I think Corky sold that Westy on a while ago. I saw it in person once. Nicely done Porka conversion, but a lot more work than "just 4 bolts". He also had a very nice 1641 turbo beetle.
Last time I saw it was Run to the Hills 2010 (?) or 2011, cant remember which - it was awesome though! Im sure there was a full write up on it in one of the early Volksworld Camper and Bus Mags As you say it was very nicely done & Corky certainly knows his stuff - I can only vaguely remember his Beetle!
Apple green L reg (I think) so that would be a 1303? Very tidy looking. I remember thinking "I'd quite like that."
