We spent a week in Gods country travelling up from South Wales to The Llyn Peninsular in North Wales, taking a trip around the elan valley and the mountain road alongside it! Then we went on up and actually stayed in a Cottage at Rhydolian cottages on the Llyn Peninsular. Great couple who run it and the camp site looks ace! We then took a trip around the Llyn and stopped for lunch next to the sea! we happened across the welsh heritage centre up on the west coast of the Llyn and it is stunning
We then took a tour around Snowdonia, absolutley stunning sorry I havent got any photos of the camp site but it is very nice and only half a mile from Hells Mouth so good surfing to!
You've been to lots of places from my childhood there, holidayed about a mile from Rhydollian every year, camped on a site that's not there anymore virtually on Hells Mouth beach, there was always a line up of various Bays and splittys with the surfers right on the cliff edge. First went to Pistyl in the 70's when it was called the lost village and you had to walk a long way down an overgrown dirt track to get to it, now they've put a road in and turned it into the Welsh Language Centre, great part of the country, glad you've had a good time.
Thanks Flakey, same here! Can't believe it, we used to holiday in North Wales as kids so we just decided to drive around and as I recognised a name we went there! Ha ha we went through Llanberis pass, horse shoe pass, stopped at Beaumaris on angelsy and even went up to south stack on Hollyhead! It is amazing the memories it promotes! We even went to whistling sands! We have had a great week! Would recommend anybody touring up there it is bloody fantastic!
