Can we still mis-spell swear words so that they appear on screen...?
    E.g... Fork,Cant,*****,e.t.c...

Nope, we want it to return to an inoffensive family safe forum like it was set up to be.

  10. Spam fritters are gross, corned beef fritters are OK in moderation for thin fried spam on a butty, and I wonder why I'm on a diet!!

Hails has to remember its there forum. The members bought themselves here on the good word of TLB members. They're mods are here to serve the members and keep it clean. But I agree their should be no nastiness on here.

And speaking of spam, I love it but spam fritters are gross. They make me sick.

while i admire the idea of going back to the "old style" of the forum i fear there are now a lot more members with more "outspoken" views than back in the day, years ago when i joined the place was for sure a lot more "twee" and it was a nice place for sure - but there are now less moderators who are consistent with pulling people up based on the unappropriate posts made and there are a lot of people trying to get around the swear filter and putting up risque pictures and making inappropriate comments, i've said it before and it was poo-poohed but it might be time for a subforum where people can be a bit more grown up and the normal forum for "twee" stuff, i'm not saying that in the adult section you can swear or insult but at least have a more grown up conversation and not worry about kids seeing it, this way you could have more of a chance of policing the main section as people who wanted to talk a bit more "real life" could do it in the adult area, i guess this idea will get brushed aside but i bet if you put the vote to the members it may be a compromise that helps all parties, personally i'm not fussed anymore as the forum will never be what it was - it's called evolution and people come and go whatever happens, there are people i miss from the old days who i know are active yet never post and i don't know why, yet there are always new people who tend to take over the main poster position, you'll always have divisions of poster, usually those with not much to contribute are the first to whine about being insulted by something.

  17. Good Idea, as long as it's not like the 'adults only' section on VZI:). That place scares me.

The idea of sending out the code of conduct to all members is to set out what is acceptable behaviour and what is not. Now that that statement has been made, members can have no complaints when a warning comes there way. There is always going to be an issue with modding from certain members, but the aim is to be as consistent as possible, bearing in mind we do this for 'fun' and from different parts of the country with little chance to discuss an issue before responding to it. I don't see why we would need an adult area - we just need members to act like adults.

I hope I haven't Ricky - I take your point. This modding thing is a bit of a minefield and I certainly wasn't having a go at you. I was taking the opportunity to make a point of my own
