Camping in the Cotswolds, what date in August?-now decided :)

There is the choice of 2 weekends in August, what date would suit people best?
Ideally i would like this to be a fixed date for the future so bear that in mind if its just this year that doesn't suit.
This will be the first VW only one as this year (2013) we shared with some military guys, everyone seemed to enjoy it so were on again this year, for this one im going to limit it to about 15 vans, see how it goes and alter the numbers in future.
All are welcome, big & small, two legs or four BUT it is a field with an unfenced river running by it.

I voted for the 1rst weekend, but I'm good for both. Just wanted my name down.

 

I'd say the 1st also - though unlikely I'll make it this time round.

 

Either so I haven't voted.

 

First probably suits us better but might be able to do either.

 

I think from the other thread that those of us from this year are happy with either, so thats good

 

What's the point in voting if you're not even going?

 

Because voting wasn't based on just this year but future years also....

I'll come if nearer the time there are spaces and if I feel up to it, seeing less than a week later we'll be doing our trip to France. I'm not as young as I use to be!

In fact I very much doubt I'll be going this year as if its not ready I'll need to get the van & trailer packed for France. It's a shame but theres always next year.

 

so is their a date for this one ? if its 1st we could prob fit this then go on to vdub island? fawt i read its 15th?

 

I was going to let it run for a while, then go with the most popular, unless one of the dates clashes with something else

 

thats ok keith , you have to go with the whats best for you and everyone , we all have different needs and hol times , if we can we will come . Its really good of you to offer this , hope alls well with you and yours , lets hope its a good year weatherwise for all ,i will keep an eye on it .

@Keith.H as they're either side of the Army boys would it be an issue if those that can't make the official date came down on the other one?
I'm here for both so could organise etc. your call though, it's your field.

 

BTW guys I really recommend coming down, it's a blinding venue with a pub 2 mins stumble away plus all of the Cotswolds to explore, free visit to the mill again this year and fresh bread making (should be a laugh).

 

If there was the call for it? although it might be pushing it to get the CC to open the bar and toilets 3 weeks on the trot?

I agree. The other date would have to be "wild" or use my facilities at home.

It can't be helpful to vote if it doesn't matter to you. Your vote might sway it to a weekend that prevents someone else attending?
