really pleased for you bob , and welldone to the garage for sorting it out , anyone can make a mistake but owning up and putting right is the gentleman thing to do enjoy mate.
Mind your punctuation. Just got home, bit of an epic journey, I had the first flatty actually out on the road - ever. It was in the middle of nowhere in the fens. No spare. No breakdown cover. Phone had switched itself off earlier when the battery went flat. No real tools, but the trolley jack was in the back from earlier. Bugger!
my kind of adventure @paradox will be along shortly to tell you how to fix the flat with a bit of rabbit hair and chewing gum, also maybe tips on charging you phone by making a mini turbine in a stream....
I got lucky and was half a mile from a farmer mate who's also a bit of a petrol head and luckily again hewas in. Luckily he has a pile of discarded tyres - at least 100 of them, so we routed out a random 14" one with hardly any tread (less likely to be puncured). I got lucky again, because last week he treated himself to a tyre changing machine, and again a bit of luck just this afternoon he cleaned it up and got it working. He was pretty keen to show it off. He was in the shower when I knocked but stuck his work clothes back on with a cheerful smile. 20 mins later he'd have been in the pub for early doors. What a great bloke. Most farmers around here are miserable gets.
that's a shame I was enjoying this thread only joking rearly pleased you have managed to sort it out after all this time enjoy your camping
