  1. Stayed at Ruda in north Devon but in a top notch static caravan awesome as we had the car , but looked at there touring campsite it was amazing flat and a 5min walk to the beach , for me witha young family or as small groups its the place to be , I've booked a 7 day holiday next year in one of those top notch caravans in October as the surf and water temp is great that's why I booked it and it only cost £400 which I was very pleased with ,anyone taking a trip to north Devon have a look here .

I love Croyde; my sister's friend has a place I stay at. Hoping for a November stay over. Van not needed :-(

Love Croyde and Ruda, went there every year for the last 2 weeks of August with my parents when we were kids. Stayed in the statics which gradually got better every year with posh things like running water and gas, every day was spent on the beach come rain or shine and it looked like a small army moving out when we loaded up for the day.

Really good facilities now including an indoor pool, great if you've got kids. We've not been back in the camper though as they don't allow dogs so we tend to stay in Saunton or Georgeham.

  9. How far Geogeham from the beach Pod?

2 or 3 miles down hill so its fine on the way there but a bit more effort on the way back but theres a couple of nice pubs to break it up. Putsborough is nearer but still a bit of a trek.
We stay at this site which is basic but cheap and has fantastic views http://www.incledonfarm.co.uk/camping_south_west.htm?
