Nantcol Waterfalls

  1. Between Barmouth and Harlech this lovely quiet site is just the place for a nice relaxing stay. Based at the foot of the Rhinog Mountain range and 2 miles from Shell Island and it's golden sandy beaches. There is 16amp electric hook-up or if you choose not to then it is possible to camp right near the river / waterfalls. Campfires are also allowed on the site.

  2. All the waterfalls you see in the pics above are on the site itself. There are several walks around them with stunning scenery. There are the usual shower / washing facilities and washing up sinks. No shop although reception sells done essentials when it is open. It's very nice here and friendly owners. Ill definitely be going again.

  3. Nice pictures NB ,never been Shell Island ,that beach looks lovely

  4. That's the beach at Harlech which is beautiful. If I recall it extends into the Shell Islands breaches :)

  5. Prices are good as well for the solo traveller

  6. This looks great. We've booked to stop here Saturday night, and wild camp the Friday.

    Thanks for the post

  7. Cool. Hope you enjoy it. It's fairly basic but with enough amenity. Friendly owners and above all quiet. Be aware of midges though. Take some repellant :)
