Hi all, So ive been a bit of a lurker on this site for years. During that time Ive rebuilt a £900 crazy Ebay purchase up to this. She's had all new panels - bottom 6 inches and arches, rewired throughout, engine rebuilt, lowered all around, brand new hand made interior, leisure battery set up, 240V Hookup, brand new ragtop and lots of other bits....Ill be starting a restoration thread soon to show whats been done but for now here are a few photos taken when i got her. Me and my Dad did all the work ourselves on the driveway - learning as we went along. Was a tough project but i think its turned out pretty good!
Cheers Mork, got rid of the wheels - didnt like them - went for a nice set of stock wheels in the end.
This may seem like a daft question but can you see the video? Ive embeded a video link to the finished article - im not sure if people can see it though as I keep being told theres plenty to do....hopefully theres not anymore!
No, I think you need to change the privacy settings on the video to public because its in Facebook. Until you do that, we won't be able to see it.
Haha - yes music was only there to show the sound system in action! Alternator tinware? Im intrigued....thought I had the whole set!
nope, you have all the tin surrounding the alternator missing including the cover to the adjuster slot.
I know im missing that rubber adjuster cover - no big deal. I really dont think im missing anything else - can you show me? Gotta pic?
Thanks Zed - spent ages checking the forum last night - There are 2 parts to the alt tin if im correct. The round bit with the grommit for the adjuster bolt and the long bracket that attaches to the heat exchanger - I have both. The bit I am missing though is the heat riser tubes from the heat exchager through the tin and then is connected to the blower.....
your alt just looked bare to me, i have not got blank plate either but made a crap one for now, here's mine
