  1. Well done fella best of luck with the refit :)

  2. Hi guys,

some updates for you all :)

heres the petrol filler neck and tank connector i replaced after being promted by the thread on here :)

Definately required a change, not a cheap fix due to the cost of the replacements but a nessesary one whilst the engine was out for easy access

also changed the breather pipes for some standard R6 fuel line :)

  3. 1600 TP rebuilt, run up and refitted in my nice newly painted engine bay.

Also installation of an external oil filter, which originally went in using some cheap hose onto barbed connections with jubilee type clips as a temp measure, that split on the barbs after approx 3 miles and spat out half my oil on the road, so i replaced with proper hydralic hose with suaged (sp) ends, and hydralic fittings.

Took Norman up for his MOT, and he went straight though with just 2 new tyres fitted to the front wheels before hand :)

  6. So last night I got my electrical installation underway, 230v hook-up in the engine bay, temp 12v leisure battery with intelligent split charger, also fed from 230v via a CTEK msx 5.0, 2 double sockets, 1 temporary 2kW tube heater until I can afford a propex, light switch to further develop for LED spot lights over the sliding door and the kitchen units, need to run a feed to the stereo also and get some new speakers in place :)

  8. Not sure what were up to this wkend buddy, but will try and get down sounds like a good day out, I don't think we're ready for a camp out yet, infact we have no curtains as they are being remade by mother in law so definitely not camping!

I think we need to have a mock camp in a field somewhere, get the awning and what not hooked up see how that works and trial run it all before we go off with 2 kiddys!

  11. had a good day today, refurbed the gear stick mech, cleaned all parts up and refitted with fresh grease, fitted in an empi quick shift kit and tighted the clutch so it no longer crunches into reverse!

also had a try out of our drive away awning which I got second hand :)

  15. mother in law has been busy with the sewing machine and made us new curtains, and recovered the rock and roll bed seat cushions, the pop top matresses, and made a cushion for the buddy box
our oldest (2 & 1/2) was the first to sleep in the van on a day trip to the beach, even if it was in the back an not the poptop.

  18. also recently done an oil and filter change after approx. 100 miles in new rebuilt engine. oil looking good, not black, not to silvery so happy.
oil pressure seems good, usually around 3 bar whilst running, 2 bar if hot, then down to 1 bar at idle when its been going a while :)

did a gear box oil change and put in some new Morris EP80/90

did find this when pulling the drain plug out though !

  19. also found the leak I was getting on the drivers side behing the kick panel, I thought it was just the windscreen which I had the seal replaced and bonded in, but it was the headlight bowl aswell so ive put some eurathane sealant around the joint!

  20. there are a couple of us heading over to St Winnow camping over the weekend

and then on sunday doing the mount edgcumbe classic car show

drop me a PM if your interested
