well saturday my landy decided not to start....

So or the first time for 8 months I sparked up the t25 ,went for about a mile and the brake pedal went straight to the floor...

limped home and both front wheels were boiling....

I decided to wiggle the backing plate.....



it came off in my hand ,if anyone tells you T25 do not rust do not believe them...

the brakes were a nightmare ,so simple on a t2 or some reason on a t25 they made it harder ,like undoing the flexy ,T2 take clip off ,hold flexi and brake pipe and remove ,t25 it is under a clamp ,if you want to remove the joint get you angle grinder out... every fixed line was a nightmare to remove..

I have owned my 19DG campervan for 11 years and as those of you that have read some of my musing over the last few years will know, I do get a 'bit involved' when I start jobs on the old girl! I have always tried to do my own servicing and repairs, mainly to keep costs down, but also to learn as much as I can about these vans.
So yesterday, after much promising, I finally got around to typing up the comprehensive service history that came with the van, as well as my own servicing history (I know, sad, but hey!). I jotted down all the costs that have been involved too:

I have owned for exactly 11 years and NOT INCLUDING the initial purchase price I have spent.......

£9813.16 I must need my bloody head testing!

so my advice t25`s are not as cheap to run and maintain...

I did buy it not to spend every weekend under it....

 

decided to do a week as lost en France using the wedge as a builders van...

I love to see a field full.
Somewhere down your way we stopped next to a field full of "grass" as well. Useless stuff for paper or something...

 

see the next field ,passed the commune christmas tree ,sunflowers another week and they will be out ,we have a field next to our garden the farmer has tried sweetcorn ,the sweetcorn they grown is just for animal feed...

 

They grow sweetcorn in Lincolnshire - I used to nick it as a whipper.

Started taking the cheverons home ,these are 150 years old and solid heavy oak ,the fire is going to burn nice this winter....



The roof is nearly off ,only one neigbour has been round to ask me what I am doing the others just wave ,I could be anyone ,the owners are in England ,I hope it is the right roof....
