I've just taken a punt that they are original, seller described them as original on fleabay. They might be going back if they are not

Are there any VW markings, I would have expected to see VW logo stamped somewhere?

  4. ^this. Take a look down the big circular tube where the air pipes connect. If there are big wide fins as in the right-hand pic, they're genuine. Thin blobby ones, they're repro.

May or may not be a VW logo stamped somewhere. Also: if they're bloody heavy, they're real - good 'uns weigh a ton!

If the blokes touting them as genuine and they're not, send them back. Repros are two a penny...

  8. I'd know if they were original if I had them, not arrived yet. I meant can anyone tell from the picture. They were advertised as original.
    fingers crossed

They look the same in a picture TBH, you'll just have to wait and see. If I were selling OG ones, I'd include a pic of the fins to remove any doubt.

Did the seller say they are genuine vw, or he thinks they're original ?

To be honest your not going to know until you get them. It's extremely difficult if near impossible to tell from one picture.
