It's worse when half the white's still runny, you can melt butter into yours. eggs in cold water, bring to boil and simmer. As soon as boiling put toast in toaster. When toast is done and buttered, the eggs are done.
I've always done them for 4 minutes 40, any longer and I find they start to harden up, I've had 2 this evening mashed into grated cheddar and put into a sandwich, with a bit of pepper - food of the gods!
