I guess even with the green van there may be bits of it that other van owners could use? Presumably the owner has quite a bit of land/outbuildings. Did they just leave them there when they broke down, or collect them and have too many to use?
Would really like to sell all of these cars to enthusiasts and without having to deal with time wasters hence why i am trying the Late Bay first . I am always time starved so the less I can do the better .
The one i drove of my mates was a 1965 C plate vitesse convertible and deffo had overdrive lever stalk unless it was an addition . I will have to post a pic of it if i can find it ...went up to Berwick on Tweed in it camping holiday . Burnt oil like petrol used nearly a gallon just driving up there .
Lots of land and some were the owners fathers cars .Loads of sentimental value but sadly the late owners wife Nina realises that they will need to be cleared .
Leaving a bunch of what would have been restorable cars to rot in old sheds and fields when they could have gone to new homes to be restored and loved before it was too late. similar to programs such as Find it, fix it, flog it where they uncover a stash of old bikes, tractors and cars that some "collector" has let turn to dust.
Exactly ! Most people have good intentions and things get in the way such as kids , finances , health etc .Sadly it was an unexpected bereavement that has prompted the late owners wife to do something about it while she can rather than eventually leave the problems to others .She is very realistic about the prices of the vehicles and trusts my judgement.
Bangers an" cash , it's on the telebox most evenings .. Google Mathewsons auctions and be amazed Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
What @Lasty said…. I occasionally clear properties for a firm of solicitors and all the abandoned cars go there…..could even get yourself on the telly… lots of unusual cars there.
Sorry not interested in being on television. I am just happy to sell them for a fair price with minimal effort .I have sold four since yesterday so not doing to bad .
I can see the cogs turning in your head! This post is not supposed to inspire someone with a penchant for small, cheap, terrible cars and a bit of room.
Allegro verbally sold .Maxi £350 if anyone is interested ? and they can take whatever they like off the other one .Austin Cambrige say £250 and Vitesse unsure ? Offers .
That is the one I think I will have to put on ebay unless someone would like to PM me a reasonable offer .It would be a shame for the remains of the green 1947 Morris van just to go into a skip so if anyone would like to come and salvage some spares or if anyone has any spare time to contact the relevant owners clubs please do on my behalf as I just do not have the time to take any more jobs on .Thanks
