Ok. I am keeping the old one we have on the road for son no.3, so that he has a car when he is 17. A few months ago, I changed out all the struts and front strut bearings, the drop links and wheel bearings. One of the front shocks was completely gone and the other was slow to recover from compression ( the coil over springs seemed fine). Put it all back together and handling around corners, roundabouts is way better. No sag. But it creaks, on the front, and quite loud, too. It never used to, with the old knackered shocks. Anyone know what it could be? TIA.
I worked on these when they were new. Always suffered from knocks and creaks from the front end. Shockers, drop links, ARB bushes, lower arm bushes and steering racks. The last two the most common.
I’ve also had new after market drop links creaking loudly. The noise goes away with use but comes back if the car stands still for a while.
