Don’t Do It,,,, before anyone says it. I’ve had the wheels off for a bit and I’m just about to start white lining the tyre lettering again for the nine hundredth time. I’ve tried several different methods and paints and inks for out lining the letters in white but nothing seems to stay on there too long. Mrs Ozziedog came up with using Tippex but that looked great and was easy to apply but lasted about the length of our back lane. There might be something that’s available that someone on here has heard of but I haven’t. It has to be fairly controllable because I’m only colouring on the tops of the letters and long lasting would be a bonus. The white pens I’ve had so far haven’t really lasted very long at all and yellow quickly too. Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,any ideas gang ???
Let’s have a look, cheers. His add actually says ,, ,,sick of using rubbish pens. Ozziedog,,,,,,,maybe he does mind reading as a sideline
I’ve ordered the white paint, comes with a ten mill applicator / brush / putter onner type thing I think and let’s see where it goes Thank you all for your very very kind assistance Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,,what’s the worstest can happen
he did a red stripe on a set of tyres for me a few yrs ago - really good product and a nice chap too. he's a vw owner (prototype bay i think)
Wouldn’t it be far far easier to buy white tyres and paint the black bits in? I’m sure there are many great options for black paint with the added bonus of black does not get marked by tarmac.
Sorry bud, but I’m not wanting whitewalls even though I’ve been talking about the white stuff. I was after highlighting my letters like this Ozziedog,,,,,,,,something like that ^^^.
