Came today. Gave it to a mate, who rebuilds and restores classic tractors,he’s just doing a Lamborghini tractor, at the moment and says he will sand blast and paint this for me, while he has all his stuff out.Should look like brand new, when it’s done. Happy days.
Completely washed out the bearings. No grittiness when spun, just a nice whirring noise. I’ll repack with grease and cover then up until the time comes to rip off the old beam. Once that’s done, the trailing arms, track rods will go for blasting and two pack, like the beam, and I’ll be fitting all new ball joints, damper and top bump stops, as these seem to have permanent dents in them. ( probably a bit more welding underneath, while it’s all apart, too.).
