Our driest town is a place called Barnsley where the sun shines 365 days a year but even they’ve had a bit of rain recently,
Hope that’s not gonna affect that fifty billion that Twiggy is throwing at this hydrogen scheme over in WA. We really needed someone to take the lead here and pumping some dollars in to get it off the ground. But that lot would more than just short circuit the solar side of it. Over here in the UK I live in the south west in Bristol and we are hitting records here as well. I’m now a grocery delivery driver for a biggish supermarket chain called Asda and yesterday I had quite a few detours because of roads flooded and closed between Bristol and Bath but everyone got their groceries yesterday. Quite a few places had water levels I hadn’t seen before and should indicate some extreme records of some description. Ozziedog,,,,,,,,This isn’t going away is it ?
Well, at least the reservoirs are full. Ladybower reservoir today. Sent from my SM-A217F using Tapatalk
South of England (Hampshire) In fairness, the river always floods if it's a wet winter... but the flood defences that were built 15-20 years ago do a good job of making sure the actual roads and houses stay clear (so far). They built a wall at one end of town, and dug a 2 mile 'ox bow' style extension to one of the streams at the other. It's a bit different to how it looked this summer during the drought! Our allotments are a bit damp at the moment
Here we go again. 200 mm in Sydney last night and about 150mm the night before https://www.abc.net.au/news/2024-04...tm_campaign=abc_news_app&utm_content=messages
