The 3 way absorption fridge we have has worked pretty well until recently. I know they are no way as efficient as a compressor type but it usually does the job ok. A couple of times on this trip it has stopped cooling however the 240v heating element is still working. How critical are they on being level? I read if they are on more than a 3 degree slope they don’t operate correctly. I have been looking at replacing it with a compressor type but struggling to find one shallow enough. They all seem to be 500mm deep which would get in the way of the r&r bed. Need something about 450mm deep.
Mine stopped working on a trip last summer. I learnt on here that they do need to be level. So I levelled it off and hey presto, it worked again.
I had the same problem and spent hours researching a solution 1. Turn it upside and shake it 2. Leave it upside down for a couple hours 3. Turn upright and leave overnight It should work perfectly Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
