Hey guys is there anyone know of brackets you can use for this awning plz I can only see T5 T6 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'm sure folk have used the T3 mounting brackets and cut down the b pillar bracket for the narrower width of the T2 bay . T3 are gutter mount like the bay...was it @The Bobdogs , @77 Westy ... They're expensive at about 90 quid a set but it's a simple mod to something that already fits the awning iirc. Maybe wrong as @davidoft is going to the trouble of bespoke fabrication...
The Thule brackets use a different mounting system to the Fiamma F45 Nick... Edit other retailers are out there, but you get the drift... https://www.justkampers.com/98655-035-fiamma-f45s-awning-adapter-kit-for-vw-t25.html
I chopped T3 brackets too. Rear doesn't need cutting. Cripes, they've almost doubled in price in 6 years. Mine were £45 .
T2 brackets aren’t available but it’s easy to modify the T3 ones to fit the B pillar (Fiamma part number 98655-035).
This is my setup. Brackets originally sourced from a supplier in Belgium. Can't find the invoice or remember the name. All I do remember is that they carried a vast array of brackets and awnings for reimo fiamma omnister thule etcetera. Good luck finding what you want it'll be out there somewhere.
My camper has the roof catches where the brackets need to be for the awning.I think will have to get someone to make them up for me.they will not bolted to the frame of the roof My camper is fully painted now beige Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hmmm, You're not going to able to fit them with that roof. I think you will need to look at different awnings.
O dear awning ordered lol.I was hoping to get brackets made in Belfast that could be bolted to the roof.rather than lip Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Where there is a will there is a way. These awnings are quite heavy and they do catch the wind when you are driving. For example I found merely being clamped to the gutter was insufficient, it vibrated and started to tear my gutters off so fixed the lower end to the van. With that in mind I don't see why you couldn't make brackets that fixed like that then wrapped around the gutter and fixed also to the roof but you'd still have to figure out how to clamp your roof down so you'd need a design to cover both or a different way of clamping your roof down.
