Seems quite wet under the carpet Alex Is it water that’s come through the hole or is it getting in somewhere else?
I think from the window seals. The passenger side was wet too so maybe the windscreen is the issue? Problem is there doesn’t appear to have been a day without rain for it to dry out. Then we could get a hose on it.
Fairly standard rotting point for a T25 all along that seam between the cab floor and the wheel arch!
The bottom corners of the windscreen like to rot out allowing water to pool in the footwells. I must sort this on mine at some point. Its only been 10 years though. If its parked nose up any water getting in the doors doesn't make it out of the drain holes (at the cab step end) so it can pour out of the vent in the back corner of the door and run into the battery boxes and also along the wheel arch into the cab floor.
Yes - common rot spot on T3’s. If you have thin arms you can get you arm up under the dash on the driver side and feel up there. What sort of roof is that ?? I have seen a few high roofs here in Australia but never a high roof pop top
Im not sure tbh. It was one I liked as you can stand up inside with it down but also sleep up there when it’s up. This looks the same. @theBusmonkey and @davidoft know the different types I think.
It's what the Germans call a Zwitterdach or Hermaphrodite roof. Afik 3 companies provided them around a similar design. SCA, Reimo and Weinsberg. On the continent in particular they are very sought after and carry a hefty price tag if they ever come available. Usually the vans they are built on to are cherished because of the original cost and quality of the conversions. Example: https://www.derlandmesserbus.de/vw-t3-weinsbergdach-wiederbelebung/
