Hey bazza.. You need to catch some eels , Jellied eels £16 and polski Karp @Barry Haynes Oxford market Saturday..
Pah! my ex sister in law was selling birthday cakes for $6-7K 10 years ago and flying with them anywhere in the states, the cakes having their own seat. One's cake cannot be cheaper than ones friends cakes, it's highly competitive with the consumers gradually increasing the price for bragging rights. Now why couldn't I find a sideline like that.
And eels were the bane of my life fishing as a lad... used to boil em up and eat em on the bank trying to catch trout.. they carry on swimming round the pan with their heads off ...
I've got to ask but what is the difference between Liquor and Licker. ....unlikely I'd known being from the North!
Blimey, that's left it wide open for the naughty people on here! Notice that I haven't commented at all!!
Nothing so many people write licker on an order Harrington's put it on the menu, liquor is the juice from the stewed eels with parsley mmm lovely, now I want pie and mash
Yuck. ..sounds ghastly! You'll be telling me next that there's eels in the pie too. Thanks for educating me though.
No you do that yourself, 3 pies burnt edges if possible 2 mash 1 liquor 1 pot of jellied eels You pour the liquor on your pie and mash then mix the jellied eels in, then a little bit of Harrington's vinegar with chili's, we used to say they were bugs when we were kids and finally black pepper
That sounds like a DIY kit to me. My take on the menu is : A nice meat pie (steak and kidney or just steak ) A portion of mashed potatoes. A dollop of proper gravy And of course. ...some Hendo's. Job done. Vegetarian versions are probably available. ....don't know about vegans though.
