Thank you all for your kind welcome. This forum still seems very active. I was on the caddy forum for over ten years but it has shut down recently due to lack of use. Such a shame as forums are a fantastic resource for this sort of thing and if like me you’re not on Facebook or Instagram its the only way to gain knowledge and help others with there projects. Anyway, here are a few photos of my garage workshop that I an currently building. As soon as it is water tight I will get the bay in and get cracking.
Hi James, thank you for this information. I read your build thread entirely from start to finish. Some fantastic work there, I will definitely be using your build thread to help me when I start mine.
Glad it’s of some use! Best of luck and get a build thread going. We all love a resto. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thank you. I saw your post on the fires down under. It must have been terrifying. It all went quiet in the media over here when coronavirus started kicking in. Are all the fires extinguished now? It must have caused so much devistation for so many families.
Yes as soon as I’ve got my garage built I will get the bay in and start a build thread. Where in Dorset are you based?
Everything is pretty much under control. We've even managed to go away on holiday but now we're stuck and can't get home.
So managed to get the camper back into my garage while following all the lockdown rules yesterday. Although the garage isn’t finished yet, it is watertight at one end and i’ve got some temporary electrics in there now so i’m gonna be making a start on the bay. Look out for a new build thread soon.
Thank you. Yeah I built it as big As I could to create a decent workshop. It’ll have an electric roller door and a 2 post ramp inside when Its finished.
Welcome from the Italian Alps to the best vw forum. Nice space there... Look forward to your resto thread.
