Was in one of those lovely old fashioned hardware stores in Haworth this morning ( is it just me or do they have a lovely smell those places?) Although it was up on the hill heading into Haworth, they still got flooded . Lovely stoic Yorkshire types though, I said I hoped storm Dennis wouldn't be too bad for them, "Bring it on!" the lady said
As my northern friend says Ya might need tha big coat .. but I think it’s usually got to be -6 to even think about it
Oh a storm is threatening, my very life today. If I don’t get some shelter. Oh yeah, I’m gonna fade away. I wonder how many of you will play that now.
The council have just finished clearing the road outside of all the rocks thrown by the sea from the beach.....I think they will be very annoyed that they will have to do it all again.... A word of warning if anyone is going near the sea when the storm hits...if you had seen some of the rocks thrown onto the road you could likely die if they hit you...just saying stay safe..
No I think it's 'Little Boxes' by Pete Seeger, isn't it? There's a green one and a pink one and a blue one and a yellow one and they're all made out of ticky tacky and they all look just the same...….. or something like that
All that said about being safe, there's summat about being on a big hill in the middle of nowhere when it's purely evil and waving two fingers at Mother Nature and shouting "Is that all you've got lass?"
The camper is packed and no storm is going to stop us heading off out - though it might stop us getting out of the camper, or the pub when we get there!* *haven't made our mind up on where exactly to go. Sent from my BND-L21 using Tapatalk
Interesting fact. I went round Ronnie Woods house a couple of weeks ago. He’s an amazing artist. The paintings are really really good.
