Blaupunkt/VW radio

Can anyone confirm the era for this radio? I *think* it was out of my old '73 beetle, so would it be the same fitted to a '73 bay?

70s I’d say. They looked a bit more modern in the early 80s.

 

I believe radios were fitted by the dealer anyway, so you could’ve ended up with anything.

 

My van came fitted with a dealer approved Motorola.
Although the user manual gave other Blaupunkt options.
I was lucky enough to source an Ingolstadt on ebay.de. and replaced the Motorola which I have kept.

No VHF/FM, unfortunately. You'll have to listen to Radio Albania on shortwave.

 

Not sure, you might need clearance from @paul2590 first!

 

..had the same model on my old 1973 1303 many moons ago..it was fitted originally by the dealer back then..
