Chirping Engine Autopsy

    some pics of my dead engine. It really was wrecked! Also some after the resurrection. Load more power and 200mile/litre oil should be a bit thing of the past!

    New heads barrels and many oil seals and heat exchangers
    German forged cylinders, German heads. German heat exchangers

    Thats good to see the new parts on the engine and the source of the chirp.

    At one time you might have caught that chirp/leak with just a torque wrench.

    Not as bad as Scotts (SGS Aircooled previous owner) NOSBack cylinder head he showed me. With nitrous oxide, the hole from the flame went straight out the side of the head after creeping past the head to cylinder seal..

    But your last picture with the oil all over the pistons show that the rings were gone..and the valve seats might also have been a little loose.
