Rookie mistake...topped up oil on slanting drive ...drove into garage and left for a week. Noticed oil on floor seemed to have been blown out...Tried to start but although turning over will not. Excess oil now out and reads full on dip stick ( when bus is on flat surface ..duh) Have i completely killed the engine or what can i do ??? Help appreciated cheers Ian
Do you have fresh fuel. Is the battery fully charged. Are the wiring connections on the starter solenoid clean and bright metal.
How much oil did you have to drain off to get to correct level ...if it was mega full it could have dragged some to the top end if rings are worn and fouled the plugs .
Take out the plugs give it a turn over. Wait 30 mins get the plugs clean in that time . Put it back together. Usual sipnny things and flammable stuff rules aply
If you did not get it started and left it for a while over filled, its quite likely there was oil seeping into the downhill cylinders past the rings. That would foul the plugs. You may have to take the plugs out and turn the engine over with rags above the plug holes to catch oil spray. Fit clean plugs and try again expect a fair amount of white smoke for a while . Keep it running until it stops smoking.
