Country music is one of the most popular types of music in the world and this special type of music originated in the USA. International Country Music Day was established in the 1950s and is held each year on September 17th. On this special day country music festivals are held at various venues around the world. Lovers of country music gather to listen to live music acts while drinking and dancing. Line dancing is popular during International Country Music Day and competitions are often held to determine the best dancers. This is a vibrant event that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. In order to fully embrace the fun of International Country Music Day, it is important to look the part. Dress to impress in a pair of jeans or denim skirt teamed with a gingham shirt and, of course, a pair of cowboy boots and a cowboy hat to complete the look.
My go to album when driving down some little country lane, Chris Stapleton's Traveller. It's not a country song if you don't mention whiskey!
Yep, I’m fine with this day To paraphrase the Blue Brothers somewhat: I like both kinds ....... country and western.
Most of the stuff I really like would probably be more classed at Americana and Bluegrass, but I like straight country too. These are pretty much in the bluegrass field, was lucky enough to see them in a tiny pub in that there Sheffield a year or so ago. They were simply brilliant
Not my favourite genre, but I don't mind some of the stuff that comes out of the alt country scene from Austin Tx. Townes Van Zandt is worth a listen to as is John Prine.
Nope - not for me either - summed by this joke. Two blokes on death row - they are asked if they would like to hear their favourite song before they go on the electric chair The first one says - play Achey Breaky Heart by Billy Ray Cyrus the 2nd one says - just kill me now before you play it.
I've never enjoyed most country music.. but.. to give it a fair chance... I've watched this 3 times... and subscribed.. and... I might try it with sound up, next time ...
