So my type 4 heat exchangers are fooked! Apart from not having any heating, what’s stopping me from pulling the crusty rusty tin covers off and just using the inners like j-tubes?
A bit of tin to keep the heat off the engine and a different heat source for inside the bus.. probably get a decent eberspacher for the cheaper than new exchangers.... Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk

Seriously try to either replace or repair the existing heat exchangers as they contribute to cooling the heads . Which on a T4 are a bit more precious than on a T1 .
