Type 4 Alternator tin big v small hole?

  2. 50 AMP Alternator is big hole, 70 AMP is small hole I believe

  10. Problem is I don't have a hole to measure just a gap where a hole should be...

    There's also a plastic gasket that fits behind the tin btw :)

    There should be a gasket on the alternator cover (where the cooling air elbow fits), but it’s almost always missing, and there are two types of plastic seal behind the pulley depending on which tin is fitted.

    And that engine ^ is missing the seal from the oil filler to the tin.

  17. Ta... missed that one... got distracted by the big sponge engine bay seal amongst other interesting mods..
    hard to spot what you havn't got when it's all a little bit different from the CJ tinware you're used to

    T4 tinware, gaskets and seals are like a big jigsaw with no picture on the lid, where pieces were changed on a regular basis throughout production. Except, not completing the jigsaw properly could get you a ride home on a tow truck
