A restoration for Iris

  1. It’s amazing to see how far you’ve come. The van looks beautiful! Has the smile warm off yet as you’re driving it around or does it still feel like a novelty?

A bit of both mate. Still not used to spending most evenings in the workshop. Just love driving it around again.

Thanks mate. We've not got for super light colours inside as I found they just attract dirt.

  8. Dab hand with a welder, grinder, spray gun and now a sewing machine. Is there anything you can’t turn your hand to?

I've bought a 1/8" BSP to 3mm brass barb fitting to plumb my fuel tank breather into the air filter. How should I go about fitting it? Can't tap the metal as it's too thin, and don't think I can get to the back of it? Rivnut? Or am I missing something obvious?

  17. You could use 1/8 BSP locknut on the inside of the filter body, loads on eBay

Bear in mind whatever you put on the inside of the filter might fall off. I’d use a Rivnut if I couldn’t tap the filter housing.
