Dirty Bertie - 74 tin top Camper

  1. Hello Bertie! From me & my Bertie!!! Loving the colour. I'm going not far off a similar. I got BS18E49, what's yours?
     
  2. Hi Bertie mine is a Early fiat 500 colour its called Azzurio Cherrio - I used this before on a Hot Rod I built - this was many years ago

    I found it in a scrap yard it was a 1938 Standard flying 8

    I'm guessing with that level of taste you don't put the empty after eight mint wrappers back in the box either! Total class!! I like your style young man!

  11. Not been about for a while busy building new extension and workshop but I am back on him again - couple of pics of his super tucked front bumper - he has drop 2 1/2 " drop spindles fitted as well

Here is a little update a few more bits done - Drop spindles fitted new drilled discs fitted all of the front inner arch is now cleaned detailed and painted - Sliding door hung - Adjustable spring plates fitted - driveshafts rebuilt - Wheel arch all detailed and painted - new shocks fitted -

Lots more done to dear old Bertie - all the brakes have been re piped the motor is out and i have started the rebuild - all the glass is fitted - i tricked out the side belly pans they now fit snug flat to the floor look lush - the rear chassis rails have been welded up due to lots of rust - the engine bay is all finish painted - the underside is all finish painted - Just having a fight with a new throttle cable grrrrr - TO DO - Fit deluxe belt line trim - rebuild motor & fit - start the interior trimming

More work done on Bertie the engine bay is now all rebuilt- the rear chassis legs needed repair the inside of the bay was in a poor condition - all repaired and painted satin black - The gearbox has had new input shaft seal and a clean up - Replaced the accelerator cable - thumbnail (1).jpg thumbnail (1).jpg thumbnail (2).jpg 9.jpg The motor has had a freshen up and repaint and detail - all ready to refit
