Brother’s Day celebrates the family – specifically, brothers. Celebrated on the 24th of May, it’s a great day to let your brother know how much he means to you. The bond between brothers is so strong and such a significant part of many people’s lives that it has inspired hundreds of books, films, paintings, poetry, and plays. How many famous brothers can you think of? What about the Brother’s Grimm, famous for their stories? Or the Wright brothers, who pioneered the first airplanes? Liam and Noel Gallagher of Oasis are brothers. Barry, Robin, and Maurice Gibb made up the Bee Gees. The Jackson 5 were all brothers. There’s no doubt that sometimes brothers don’t get the fame and fortune that the above do – but this day is about making sure that your brother knows that you still think the world of him, even if you don’t always get along.
my brother has been looked after by the British tax payer for over half of his life, he has been in nearly every one of her majesty’s hotels, I’ve lost count of the amount of times I’ve been told “ that’s the last time bruv, never again,” he’s currently enjoying life in the outside, for now, you’ve guessed it we don’t see eye to eye
I seem to remember from previous years that brothers aren't too popular. Mine is a top bloke - even if he has got more hair than me....
Can choose your friends Baz, but not your family. Just have to put up with them. Is your brother out?
No brothers unfortunately - just a horrible younger sister (although she has mellowed with age). I had two brothers-in-law - both younger than me and great blokes but both now sadly deceased (Mrs. Cunny was devastated as they were younger than her too - you are greatly missed Bob and Colin RIP)
Just the one brother. He is a great bloke, best described as a 'character' He's managed to keep his hair long and have a good attitude to the world, if a little stubborn at times. Off to Tenbury Festival with him in a few weeks - one of our best get togethers of the year (even though he only lives a few miles away in very posh Bournville, overlooking Cadburys). There are 4 half brothers and 2 half sisters out there somewhere but I don't really want much to do with them and their neurotic, crazy mum (step mum).
My parents got me on special order as a playmate for my older brother when he was nearly two .... I think I might have been a bit of a disappointment on that front. Lived in his shadow a bit through school and Uni, known as **** ******'s brother etc etc but he fought lots of battles so I didn't have to, and got me back on track when I was a naughty teen so By the way he thinks TLB/Techenders etc is "weird" so I might have to disown him after all
6 years between me and my brother, due to the death of two sets of twins Inbetween... I was the last hope...we don’t really see each other much, even though we both live in the same town. He does his thing, and I do mine.
