https://halfmoonreedness.co.uk/ Cant recall how we found out about The Half Moon Inn but it came with good reviews all round and had camping by the River Ouse nr Goole. At £15 per night with hook up we gave it a try and Dougie got himself ready for his first camp, he had his bed, bear, croc and tree all packed and he was buckled up ready to The camping field is to the rear of the pub leading onto the Ouse' flood defence, so you couldn't see the river from Gusbus but walk to the top and the views are superb, especially at sunrise
There is a footpath on top of the flood defence which lead to Goole in one direction and towards the Ouse / Trent / Humber the other past Whitgift. Either was relaxing and easy walking, we enjoyed it.
The food was all fresh cooked and locally sourced, all very reasonable, a selection of Old Mill Brewery ales on tap, around £6.00 for a pint and a large glass of wine, was a good pint too. You are made to feel welcome too! A proper sun trap and very relaxing, I would recommend this spot, just what is needed
