I removed the old mechanical fuel pump and fitted a block off plate - that is a bugger of a job and I wish I had a ramp.

Fitted a noisy cupboard fire extinguisher, sorted my self-tappers conundrum and drove around East Scotland looking for 7.6mm fuel hose on a Sunday. Couldn't find any, swore loudly and resigned myself to the fact it will be a few more days before the bus and bug can come out and play after the winter

 

So there is, does poor Butty know his name is being taken in vain? The madness of it all...... King George would approve

I have driven my bay 570 miles today, started at 9.30 eu time and ended about a quarter to eight.
Through the Benelux to Avaranches. Homeward bound from St Malo tomorrow to Guernsey.

 

Drove down to the workshop to pick up some of the bits I didn’t have time to collect last weekend. Gave the unit a bit of a tidy up, then washed the van and waxed the upper half as I’d not got round to doing it.
