Massively disappointing I thought, sounded at times as if he was doing a Chris Morris (The Day Today) impersonation, which is best left to Chris Morris really. Think we barely managed 10 minutes of it :(

  9. Probably best to stop reading the Guardian. It's not good for you.

I thought it was awful - not a patch on the days of the Linton Travel Tavern. I think Alan has run his course.

It was a bit disappointing, although a couple of quality lines. The fluck / clunt lady was worth the wait..

I do that with the Daily Mail readers' comments - there are some very angry people living there.

  14. Not quite as loopy as the comments in the Independent. There are some quite frightening people out there...

I have noticed how few articles in the Graun even allow comments these days

It's annoying innit... the comments are the best bit of the paper tbh.

Today's lamest graun story has to be "Kim Jon Un smokes a fag" ... groundbreaking journalism to be sure..

  17. I always have a quick dip into the Graun to find out who Victim of the Day is. It's so hard to keep up o_O...

Exactly. It’s as if the readership can be trusted to comment on the most innocuous stories, but anything remotely juicy, comments are not allowed. I kind of see the reluctance, there’s that many idiot trolls about these days, but it means a lot of really good debate and comments don’t see the light of day.

  20. Comments seemed to be welcome, as long as they agreed with the article. Setting aside the usual frothing loons, a lot of the comments - obviously written by reasonably normal people - gave articles a right pasting.
