I have an "X ray" experience of it having gone from eco research through design and then build ... One pair of hands not enough!!

And us ... The floor has ufh .... was a nice little Gumtree bargain at £10/M2 ... This guy bought it (and didn't have enough for his project) from the people who were gutting the failed gastro pub that they'd converted from the Fulham supporters club ........

 

Things like insulation all round the footings, pipes in the roof to take heat off and dump it under the slab so it comes through inside 6 months later, metal rails under the slates with mini gutters so there's much less slate (cost and weight), hemp insulation, mains pressure hot water on demand using night rate leccy ...... etc etc

 

No silly! The amount they used for the gastro pub wasn't enough for his house ...
